Big Offlink! Bhilai WAG5 Visits SER To Haul Aranyak Express

Earlier last month, as a big offlink, BIA Bhilai WAG5A locomotive (no. 23712) came in to haul the 12885 Aranyak Express from Shalimar Railway station and I had the oppertunity to make a video from Padmapukur railway station.

In the January cold and fog, the loco and the train appeared so beautiful that I had shared a snap even earlier. So if you remember, I had uploaded a #Photoblog update on this sighting which you can re-read here.

One of my regular and beloved follower friend on YouTube Mr. Rabin Saha commented the following: "BIA WAG5s are very rare because , BIA ELS has only 11 WAG5. Some of them have this distinctive livery. Fortunately you're able to capture one of them. Thank you."

I spot the Aranyak Express, outgoing Shalimar, quite regularly. Mainly because this train gets so many kind of different locomotives which is a train spotters delight. You can read all my past posts and even follow future posts about spotting the Aranyak Express here.
