Santragachi WAP4 No. 22349 Comes To Shalimar For The 12885 Aranyak Express

During my recent RF trip to the SHM - 'Kolkata Shalimar' Railway station, I spotted this lovely Santragachi WAP4 approaching  the station to serve the daily (except Sun) 12885 Shalimar to Bhojudih "Aranyak Express".

While a SRC WAP4 is pretty normal for this train, it often gets a variety of different non WAP4 locomotives, especially freight ones like WAG7s. I am not sure but I guess the incoming locomotives of freight trains to the nearby Shalimar yard are utilised with this train. Anyway it is quite nice to spot the arrival of these locos to the station. You can find all posts related to the 12885 Aranyak Express listed here.
