Major Offlink ITARSI WAG5 Visits Shalimar For The Aranyak Express

Rare Offlink spotted at Shalimar Railway station - as an ET Itarsi WAG5 locomotive (no. 23780) came in via Padmapukur Railway Station to haul the 12885 Aranyak Express.

This post goes to you from my sightings of this loco and thereafter the train around the end of last November, still this is not a repost or re-upload but rather a late-upload.

I remembered that this concerned Itarsi WAG5 loco was spotted on consecutive days at Shalimar as it came to haul or regular Aranyak Express on November 27 and 27th (-at least, as I spotted it there on these days).

It was quite nice to spot this train with another offlink loco. Aranyak Express is one of such trains that gets all kinds of locomotives very often though a SRC-Santragachi WAP4 loco is the usual normal link for this train. If you find out my old posts on Aranyak Express (click here) you can find and read about all the offlink locos this train got in the recent period.

Watch the Itarsi loco serving the Aranyak Express here:

On another instance the same loco was spotted in serving the train, watch below:

I spot the Aranyak Express, outgoing Shalimar, quite regularly. Mainly because this train gets so many kind of different locomotives which is a train spotters delight. You can read all my past posts and even follow future posts about spotting the Aranyak Express here.
