I wish to to share an important petition, an appeal from fellow railfans to the Indian Railways and rail board chairman Shri Ashwani Lohani, requesting IR to preserve the picturesque MG rail route that passes through the Choral river valley in Madhya Pradesh India.
This meter gauge route, which is among the few last surviving MG routes in India, faces the threat of complete shut down upon completion of a broad gauge line that is supposed to replace this existing one. We railfans wish that this century old meter gauge route which is likely to be abandoned, be preserved as a heritage line.
