The rail lines between PDPK and SHM have some beautiful short curves. It is always great to observe the trains taking to those cures while moving through both the station. Since the stations are quite close, and one is always the originating/ terminating one (SHM), so trains usually do not move at a high speed at this stretch. Today while I was waiting for the 22836 Puri Shalimar Weekly Superfast Express and the 12774 Secundrabad Shalimar Weekly AC Express (both were quite late), the 38312 Mecheda Shalimar EMU local came in. After leaving PDPK-Padmapukur, where I was standing, it took these lovely curves which I am sharing today.

The 38312 Mecheda Shalimar EMU local starts from Mecheda at 0708 AM local time, and arrives Shalimar at 0833 AM everyday. While upon returning it becomes Shalimar Santragachi Local which terminates at Santragachi. The next Shalimar Mecheda local service (train 38305) is on 1025 AM.
